My essay cymaria

Cymaria Earvin

Photography isn’t just about photos, it’s about how you use the photos with different abilities like the rule of 3rds, the lines of photography and framing.

The rules of photography were some sort of disclaimer of breaking rules of photography. The rule of 3rds work well as a compositional rule in many situations. The good old rule of 3rds makes a lot of sense in many types of photography. The rule of 3rds also has symmetry and asymmetry.

The lines of photography can be found in most images. Before you frame your shot with your camera, check for symmetry lines. There are three types of photo lines: diagonal horizontal and vertical. Each one has a different impact upon a photograph.

Framing is the technique of drawing attention to the subject of your image. They also give the photo context, with intriguing your viewer. They also give you the idea to lead the eye towards your main focal point. Framing also gives images a sense of depth and layers.

As you can see, photography can be cool when using the following like aperture and shutter speed. Photography can be cool by using the rule of 3rds, the lines of photography and framing.

Symmetry and Asymmetry

Symmetry means when you can split the picture in the middle. Asymmetry means when you split the picture to the left or right, but not in the middle. My photographs have both Symmetry and Asymmetry and also they are adjusted. My biggest challenge with this assignment was choosing the pictures. My biggest success was being able to identify symmetry and asymmetry.
